a selection of projects I have completed for clients
I was again responsible for organising the graduate exhibition. And beyond organising the catering, spaces, speakers etc, my responsibilities also include designing & developing the associated print media and website to promote the event.
The website is still visible at the UQ ITEE web portal study.itee.uq.edu.au/multimedia. Print media developed for the promotion of the event includes:
The dangling mouse theme was continued through from the previous year. As we have recently relocated to St Lucia campus to be further folded into the School of Information Technology & Electrical Engineering, I wanted to reinforce the 'design' focus of our program in the printed & promotional material.
This project involved working with artist Annabel Tully to update and redesign her existing portfolio website. Annabel's painted works portray the vivid colour and shapes of her outback surrounds. Her portfolio website needed to support & complement her works.
This website was designed to showcase the photographic works of Megan Slade and provide her with an online portfolio that she could direct potential clients to. Working closely with Megan to develop the design of the site, it was important to ensure a simple visual style that would ensure the focus remained on her photographic works.
To ensure that not only were her photographs displayed in the best possible light, but also that the site was accessible to a wide range of potential customers, we had to strike a balance between the quality of the imagery & the file sizes of those images to reach an optimum loading time. It was important to Megan that the images on her website would represent the quality of the actual printed photographs.
I was responsible for organising the 2007 graduating students' exhibition. And beyond organising the catering, spaces, speakers etc, my responsibilities also included designing & developing the associated print media and website to promote the event.
The website is no longer visible at the UQ Information Environments web portal - but you can see it archived here lcmdesign.com.au/exhibit07. Print media developed for the promotion of the event includes:
So as not to promote any particular style, or student work, the design of the promotional material has been kept simple, yet modern, allowing the student work to speak for itself.
This website was created to provide an online presence for the Caboolture Mums & Little Ones (CMLO) community project. The project is aimed at providing information about health during pregnancy and directly following birth. My role was to create a website shell that allowed the project team to contribute to and maintain the content of website. By creating the website using the Drupal content management system, the project team are able to author and publish content to the website without the need for prior web-development skills, ensuring a sustainable and ongoing web presence for the CMLO project.
The website's appearance was designed according the project's existing marketing strategy, incorporating and translating their colour scheme and visual identity into a web-based format.
